Affiliate marketing is an online advertising method in which advertisers (online vendors that sell products or services) pay publishers (independent parties that promote the products or services of an advertiser on their own Web site) only for results, such as a visitor making a purchase or filling out a form, rather than paying just to reach a particular audience. This “pay-for-performance” model is essentially just the 21st century version of a “finder’s fee.” The only difference is that in affiliate marketing advertisers only pay publishers when the new client introduction results in a sale or a lead, causing it to be a low-risk, high-reward atmosphere for everyone involved.

There are many ways to become an affiliate marketer. You could mass e-mail your friends and family a bunch of links and hope that they like you enough to help you out, blow up some forums or even pass out fliers in the streets. If that sounds good to you, too bad. Unfortunately, it’s 2009. Everyone making real money in affiliate marketing not only runs their own website(s), but is often a member of multiple affiliate marketing groups, each of which puts checks in the mailbox. The top earners in affiliate marketing internet marketing function like well-trained, calibrated machines, spending a few minutes each day to make sure traffic is being continuously sent to their site, while the rest of their business runs itself on autopilot.

Success in all forms of marketing derives itself from two things, desire and persistence. If you genuinely want to build wealth and are willing to invest the time in yourself that it takes to learn a system, get the right mindset and achieve your goals, I would urge you to do so. The benefits are too numerous to name. Free your time, free your mind, free yourself.
